Miles Bay Camp Blog

Well if anyone reads this blog they will be very disappointed in me, I have not posted since the spring of 2014.  In my defense I do put information on our facebook page, there is a link at the bottom of this page.

We had a great summer, except for the extremely high water levels which saw our main docks under water from June until August, but we did not sustain any damage from that so we were very luck.

We will be at two sportshows this year.  The first will be at the 2015 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sports Show from March 4-8 and the Northwest Sports Show from March 25-29th in Minneapolis.  For more detail check out our facebook page closer to the dates; and while you are there please LIKE us on facebook!

Bye for now :)

HEY EVERYONE!!!! Spring is approaching, if you haven't booked a trip with us yet for this year send us an email milesbaycamp@gmail.com or call us at 1-807-486-0299.
Cabin #1 now has a flush toilet and it is available for the week of June 7-14th if anyone is interested. It sleeps 4 comfortably; there are 2 bedrooms with a double and single bed in each. Only $335 CDN per person per week!

Yes, I know, I skipped summer, but if you have been there yet, we have a facebook page (there is a link at the bottom of the page) so I worked on that this summer instead.  I might just forget about this silly blog altogether - I always forget about it.  But I am writing now so for this moment it stays....

So we had another wonderful summer.  Lots of things done around the camp.  A couple of cabins have new shiny metal rooves, the main floating dock was redecked, the showerhouse now has a covered waiting area and cabin #1 now has a composting toilet.

We had some new guests join us this year, we hope they liked our place and the fishing and that we will see them back again next year.

Christmas is just around the corner, the kids are excited for Santa to come and we are hoping the weather gets warmer then -40c and that we can actually get out to enjoy the outdoors.

We would like to wish everyone "HAPPY HOLIDAY", hope you have time to sit back and relax and spend some quality time with your families.  Hope to see you in the new year.

Jenn

Well hello everyone, yes I know, I have been neglecting this blog, but this is our busiest time of year!  It is opening weekend, May 18, 2013 and the ice is out!!!  The ice was very late in going out this year, Matt made his first trip out Monday May 13th, then Matt & I came out Wednesday with some fabulous helpers to start opening camp.  We have a group due to arrive this afternoon and thankfully their cabin is ready.  We are moving along at a steady pace and will be fully operational and ready to go by next weekend - first fully booked weekend for the year.  Can't wait to see everyone again.  To those of you who are still thinking of coming up but have not booked a cabin yet, we still have a few cabins open so give us a call.  Bye for now, Jenn

Hi there, so since it is winter we have not been out to the camp much.  Matt has been out a couple of times to do some fishing and he just went out last week to remove snow from some of the roofs.  Here at the house we have 2 feet of snow, so assume there is about the same out at the camp.  We will all be heading out there for March Break.  Matt will spend a lot of time out there the last 3 weeks of March to get firewood.  We might even have some guests out to do some ice fishing.  If you are interested in ice fishing at the camp in March - after the 11th, give us a call or email us.
